Scientific Board
Our organization cares deeply and works tirelessly to improve the patients’ recovery & rehabilitation from the acute to the chronic phase. Techno Concept created a scientific board of top executive in the Healthcare environment. They will guide the research & scientific knowledge around Techno Concept innovations in the neurorehabilitation field.

Dr Karin Diserens
Doctor Karin Diserens is a PMR & Neurologist. She is for more than 10 years now the Head of a unique organization: the “Acute Neurorehabilitation Unit” of the Department of Clinical Neurosciences (Lausanne); it is a transverse unit which takes care of patients with neurological & neuro-surgical injuries since their admission as well as a bed unit specifically designed to accommodate patients with different states of consciousness.
Co-chair, World Federation of Neurology, Special Interest Group of Early Mobilization
Co-chair, European Academy of Neurology on Chronic Disorders of Consciousness
Member of committee, European Federation of NeuroRehabilitation Societies
Scientific focus with Vibramoov:
Is Functional Proprioceptive Stimulation suitable for detecting consciousness?
In early phases of neurorehabilitation covert consciousness is a prime marker for final outcome. Functional proprioceptive stimulation (FPS) induces similar activity in the motor planning & execution network as active movement. If this activation is regulated by consciousness, FPS could serve as an early diagnostic marker in patients with disorders of consciousness (DOC).
Pr Jean-Michel Gracies
Professor Jean-Michel Gracies is a world-renowned expert in Neurorehabilitation.
He serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Neural Transmission and is an ad hoc reviewer for Brain, Experimental Brain Research, Muscle and Nerve, Stroke, Movement Disorders, the Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry, Clinical Neuropharmacology, Clinical Neurophysiology, Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Archives of Gerontology and Geriatrics, Neurorehabilitation and Neural Repair, and The Lancet Neurology.
He published over 200 original articles, book chapters, theses, reviews, and abstracts and has served on the editorial board of many peer journals.
He is developing innovative concepts in physiopathology and neurorehabilitation of neurological movement disorders, and clinical research projects on syndromes such as spastic paresis, parkinsonism, tremor, chronic facial paresis, and other motor disorders. He designed the Scale in Five Steps that quantify muscle by muscle the normal-pathological gap in the different possible symptoms of spastic paresis.
He developed detailed guidelines of self-rehabilitation.
Scientific focus with Vibramoov:
Effect of focal stimulations on key antagonist muscles for 2 months on active movements & motor function in patients with early subacute hemiparesis (stroke). Prevent (or decrease the severity of) the muscle disorder after a stroke, through focal stimulations. From the first hours after the lesion, a cascade of transformation will lead to a true muscle disease called spastic myopathy.
Hypothesis: muscle focal stimulations will induce a large repetition of minimal stretches, improving potentially motor function through a relative preservation of the muscle architecture.
Dr Franco Molteni
Doctor Franco Molteni is responsible of several projects investigating new technologies for functional assessment and rehabilitation training and the therapeutic utility of botulinum toxin in spasticity.
– Director of the Gait & Motion Analysis Laboratory (Valduce Hospital Rehabilitation Center).
– Consultant physiatrist of the Italian Muscular Distrophy (uildm).
– Research scientist of National Council of Research Stiima Institute Milan.
– Director of the Italy-Egypt Cooperation Project: Model for Rehabilitation Medicine & Health Innovation Technology.
Scientific focus with Vibramoov:
Benefits of FPS on postural control of stroke patients.
Pr Bernard Vigue
Professor Bernard Vigue is is a world-renowned expert of Neuro-Anesthesiology & Critical Care specialized in neurological and cerebral traumas.
He is president of the Association of French Language of Neuro-Anesthesia & Reanimation (anarlf).
He regularly participated or preside the writing and publications of recommendations, guidelines for critical care from the French Intensive Care Society (SRLF), the French Society of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine (SFAR), the French Emergency Medicine Association (SFMU), the French Group for Paediatric Intensive Care & Emergencies (GFRUP)], the French National Association of Neuro-Anesthesiology and Critical Care (ANARLF) & the French Neurovascular Society (SFNV).
Scientific focus with Vibramoov:
Early proprioceptive stimulation of upper spinal cord injuries.
Understanding the importance of early care, before healing, and giving ourselves the means to try to guide recovery is the main focus. Demonstrate that early management reduces muscle spasticity & pain in quadriplegic or paraplegic patients.
